NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Authorities and community leaders are intensifying efforts to locate PETROS KROMMIDAS, a 29-year-old Democratic political candidate and field organizer, who has been missing since Thursday, April 23. KROMMIDAS was last seen in Baldwin, Long Island, wearing a camouflage sweatshirt and gray sweatpants, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

KROMMIDAS, a Columbia University alumnus and Intercollegiate Rowing Association national champion, is believed to be in the Long Beach area. His personal belongings, including clothing and a phone, were discovered on the beach near the Allegria Hotel in Long Beach, where he had parked his car the night he disappeared. Witnesses reported seeing him walk onto the beach around 10:30 PM to exercise, a routine he followed regularly.

Family members have appealed to the public for assistance in locating KROMMIDAS, describing him as an experienced cold-water trainer preparing for an upcoming triathlon. Standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds, he is a prominent figure in local politics, having served as a field organizer for the Nassau County Democratic Party and running as a candidate for Nassau County Legislator in the 4th District.

County Democratic Chairman JAY JACOBS expressed deep concern over KROMMIDAS‘ disappearance. “We are heartbroken over the disappearance of PETROS KROMMIDAS,” Jacobs told NBC 4. “Petros is a bright, driven young man who has been a strong voice for Democratic values. He is well respected by the community and represents the very best of our next generation of leaders. We are keeping Petros and his family in our prayers and remain hopeful for his safe return.”

The Nassau County Police Department has not released additional details regarding the ongoing investigation. Meanwhile, Fox News’ HARRIS FAULKNER is amplifying the search efforts by featuring the case on her show *America’s Most Wanted: Missing Persons*.

Anyone with information is urged to contact local authorities or share tips through dedicated hotlines. Community members continue to rally in support of KROMMIDAS‘ safe return.
