A chilling selfie of BRYAN KOHBERGER, the suspect in the Idaho quadruple murder case, has surfaced, reportedly taken just days before his arrest. The image, obtained by NBC’s DATELINE, shows KOHBERGER in a black robe with a hood covering his head, dated December 28, 2022. The episode featuring this case is set to air on DATELINE on Friday at 9 p.m.

KOHBERGER, a former student at Washington State University, was arrested on December 30, 2022, and is currently facing first-degree murder charges in the deaths of four University of Idaho students: KAYLEE GONCALVES, 21, XANA KERNODLE, 20, MADISON MOGEN, 21, and ETHAN CHAPIN, 20. He has also been charged with one felony count of burglary.

In addition to the selfie, DATELINE obtained KOHBERGER‘s cellphone browsing history, which revealed extensive searches for images of female students from both Washington State University and the University of Idaho. Many of these images reportedly featured the women in bathing suits.

The report further indicates that several individuals who posted these images were either followers or close friends of GONCALVES, MOGEN, and KERNODLE.

KOHBERGER had moved to Pullman, Washington, in the summer of 2022 to attend Washington State University. According to DATELINE, three witnesses stated that he was invited to a pool party in Moscow, Idaho, which he attended prior to the murders.

The case continues to unfold as investigators piece together the timeline of events leading up to the tragic deaths of the four students.
