A Delta Air Lines flight was forced to evacuate moments before takeoff at Orlando International Airport in Florida on Monday after flames erupted from one of the aircraft’s engines. The incident occurred aboard **Delta Flight 1213**, an Airbus A330 bound for Atlanta from Orlando. Videos captured by witnesses inside the airport showed passengers using emergency slides to exit the plane safely. Shortly after the evacuation, flames were visibly shooting out from the tailpipe of one of the aircraft’s two engines.

According to a Delta spokesperson speaking to **Fox News Digital**, the flight was carrying 200 passengers, 10 flight attendants, and two pilots at the time of the incident. The flight crew promptly followed safety protocols to evacuate the passenger cabin after the engine fire was detected. There were no immediate reports of injuries. Passengers were escorted back to the terminal, where Delta provided them with food and beverages while arranging for an alternative aircraft to transport them to their destinations.

“We appreciate our customers’ cooperation and apologize for the experience,” the Delta spokesperson stated. “Nothing is more important than safety, and Delta teams will work to get our customers to their final destinations as soon as possible.”

Orlando International Airport confirmed in a statement that the fire was contained and extinguished quickly by emergency responders. The cause of the engine flames remains under investigation. Delta’s maintenance teams will conduct a thorough examination of the aircraft, while the **Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)** has also launched an investigation into the incident.

This incident comes amid heightened scrutiny of aviation safety following recent events, including a Southwest Airlines flight bound for Mexico that returned to Houston due to an engine issue earlier this month.
