The 17-year-old suspect in the fatal stabbing of Frisco, Texas track star AUSTIN METCALF has been relocated to an undisclosed location for his safety, according to a statement from the Next Generation Action Network (NGAN), a group representing his family. The move comes in response to escalating death threats, harassment, and physical intimidation targeting the family.

KARMELO ANTHONY, who allegedly killed Metcalf during a high school track meet on April 2 over a seating dispute, was released from Collin County Jail last Monday after his bond was reduced from $1 million to $250,000. He faces a first-degree murder charge.

NGAN’s statement detailed the threats, including individuals loitering near the family’s home, unwanted food deliveries, and the mailing of Metcalf’s obituary to the residence. The group described these actions as part of a “dangerous atmosphere fueled by organized hate, systemic racism, and intentional misinformation.”

DOMINIQUE ALEXANDER, NGAN’s president, condemned the situation, stating, “It is both heartbreaking and infuriating to see the depths of hate and bigotry still alive and well in our society. No family should have to live under siege simply because they are demanding their constitutional rights.” Alexander emphasized the group’s commitment to protecting the family and ensuring justice is pursued without intimidation.

The Frisco Police Department told Fox News Digital that they have no reported cases involving threats against the Anthony family.

Last week, Alexander held a press conference where KAYLA HAYES, Anthony’s mother, spoke publicly for the first time since her son’s arrest. JEFF METCALF, Austin’s father, attempted to attend the event but was removed by Dallas police. Alexander criticized Jeff Metcalf’s presence, calling it “a disrespect to the dignity of his son.”

Alexander also addressed the role of race in the case, asserting that Anthony should be afforded the same rights as other high-profile defendants like KYLE RITTENHOUSE and DANIEL PENNY. “Nobody in the public media has one video, but we got the video of Kyle Rittenhouse with an AK-47 shooting three people in the back,” he said.

Over the weekend, a “Protect White Americans” rally was held in Frisco, hosted by JAKE LANG, a Florida man known for his involvement in the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack. Lang, who is now running for U.S. Senate, was reportedly admonished by Jeff Metcalf during the rally for exacerbating racial divisions.

Jeff Metcalf has repeatedly emphasized that the stabbing was not racially or politically motivated. “This was not a race thing. This is not a political thing,” he told Fox News. “This person made a bad choice and affected both his family and my family forever.”

According to the arrest report, Anthony confessed to the stabbing when apprehended by a school resource officer at Kuykendall Stadium. “I’m not alleged. I did it,” he reportedly told officers. Anthony also inquired if the incident could be considered self-defense.
